Brand new self-storage units move-in ready starting November 1, 2024.
Our move started off just fine until the moving truck could not fit down my block. The sales rep knew about the tight squeeze before the move yet still sent the largest truck they had. The move turned completely chaotic as the movers were carrying my belongings one piece at a time down a long, bumpy block. Many of my things were broken/damaged as a result. It was not until I came up with a solution. My husband and I as customers had to take over and go get a smaller van to load. It started to pour rain and where I was told there would only be 2 people in my home unloading, we then had 5 at once. Chaos. I stopped that and told them to wait till the rain stopped. By that time my house was filled with stuff all over the place. My brand new refrigerator door got dented during that craziness. The workers did what they could do with a poorly planned situation from the start. It was not them. They were working hard and trying to be courteous and efficient. It was poor service from the customer service department and not planning out the job properly. I filled out a damage form and have yet to hear back from a rep. I as a paying customer should never have been expected to recify the company's problem. Another, smaller truck should have been sent, immediately made available. I expect monetary compensation/refund for the damages and stress and hassle we were put through at a time that is stressful enough.
