September 12-18 marks this year’s Truck Driver Appreciation Week. This “is an important time for America to pay respect and thank all the professional truck drivers for their hard work and commitment in undertaking one of our economy’s most demanding and important jobs.” (American Trucking Association, trucking.org)
Our business, among many others in the country, rely heavily on the services of truck drivers for transportation needs. The pandemic has added major stress to the trucking and transportation industry and it’s drivers. Include a workforce shortage and there is more strain put on those in the field.
The vast majority of our services and jobs we conduct requires the use of trucks, and more importantly, a team member driving it. Our drivers work to help our customers in a variety of ways. Some are dedicated to the moving side of our business, helping families transition to their new homes. Others are working local runs delivering goods or crossing the country to transport artwork or machinery, and everything in between.
This week provides a reminder to us all the importance of truck drivers for businesses and the economy as a whole. Join us in honoring our nation’s essential truck drivers this week and remember the importance of their role all year round.
If you are looking for a new career opportunity, we have positions for drivers to join our team (CDL and non-CDL), as well other positions available. Email jobs@arnoff.com or visit arnoff.com/careers.
